老師叮嚀: 依照學生不同的背景，老師會建議不同的州別來作為考生申請USCPA考試資格。老師的學生中，很多都是留美或具有美國背景的人士，有些也已經是高階主管，所以在我們的規畫中，不會只建議低考試資格門檻較低的州別，不會只告訴全部學生”可以考試就好”，通常針對不同人士，還會進一步討論未來的計畫。
例如有些高階主管具有美國(或美商)背景，很多人不但會計學分數夠多，像這位Miss F. Chang 是在老師的建議下，也補了一些會計學分(加州規定24 個accounting credits以上)，她本身就十分優秀，留美回台之後，就在美商服務，目前為高財務主管，因為她已經有小朋友，我當時本來輔導她走Guam (關島執照申請上算鬆一點)，但Guam今年開始，學分數上審核的也算較嚴格了，我們轉而走CA的申請，因為我認為她有小朋友，也有美國SSN, 加州仍不失一個好選擇。唯一讓我們師生擔心的是，年度大量考試申請導致加州Board of Accountancy 審核的速度真是慢的出乎意料之外，導致我的這位學生心情也受很大影響，身為老師的我，真怕她未照我們說好的plan念書、做題目。
還好，來自加州Board的許可總算下來了，以下為學生回報的電子檔，也讓考生看一下CA的 Approval letter 長相為何。
結論: 各位考生，在申請”大州”( 熱門州別)時，可能也需要多一點的耐心喔!

You are approved to sit for the CPA Exam as a California candidate. You may now access your client account to select the sections you intend to sit for. You must make your section selection within one year of the application approval date. If you do not make a selection within the one-year period, your application fee will be forfeited and you must reapply to the California Board of Accountancy (Board) and pay the $50 repeat application fee.
Your selection will be transmitted to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a request for an Authorization to Test (ATT). Upon approval, NASBA will provide you with a Payment Coupon and information regarding the payment of the fees for the selected sections. Once payment has been made to NASBA, additional exam sections may not be added to the ATT. A new application to the Board, including payment of the reapplication fee is required.
Please allow at least five (5) workings days for the section selection information transmitted by the Board to NASBA to be processed, approved and available to you as a Payment Coupon.
You will have 90 days from the date on your Payment Coupon in which to remit payment to NASBA for all selected sections. If you fail to remit payment to NASBA within this 90-day period, your application is considered to be forfeited, and you must reapply to the California Board of Accountancy and pay the $50 repeat application fee.
Once NASBA receives the fee(s) for all of the selected sections, NASBA will send you a Notice to Schedule (NTS). Information provided on the NTS is needed when you contact Prometric to schedule your testing date(s) and time(s). You will have a period of nine months in which to sit for those sections. Therefore, when making your selection, you should consider choosing the number of sections that you anticipate sitting for within this nine-month period. The Board has been informed that NASBA will not refund section fees. Visit www.nasba.org for additional information on payment of section fees.
Reminder: You may contact Prometric to schedule an exam date and time ONLY after section fees are paid to NASBA and you have received the Notice to Schedule (NTS) from NASBA.
